The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC)

The Australian National Data Service, the National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources project and the Research Data Services have combined to form the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC).

Australian National Data Service (ANDS)

The Australian National Data Service is a partnership between Monash University, the Australian National University (ANU) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). The ANDS' flagship service is the Research Data Australia discovery portal where you can find, access and reuse data for research from Australian research organisations, government agencies and cultural institutions.

Visit the Australian National Data Service website for further information.

National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources (NeCTAR)

The National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources project (NeCTAR) provides an online infrastructure that supports researchers to connect with colleagues in Australia and around the world, allowing them to collaborate and share ideas and research outcomes, which will ultimately contribute to our collective knowledge and make a significant impact on our society.

The Australian National University has established a node of the NeCTAR Research Cloud at the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) to enhance the scale and reach of data-intensive science nationally. It provides generic cloud resources, as well as tailored facilities through NCI-funded hardware enhancements, establishing environments tailored to community needs.

Visit the National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources website for further information.

Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI)

The Research Data Services (RDS) project is a continuation of foundations project the Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI).  The RDSI Project established significantly increased capacity for research data holdings; developing and improving associated access and data sharing capabilities; and enhancing the capability and capacity to provide research data services to the sector.

The RDS project uses these foundations to provide efficient and user friendly services for the research community.

Visit the Research Data Storage Infrastructure website for further information.

National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Facility

National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) Facility, an initiative of the Australian Government, is hosted by ANU. NCI is jointly funded by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research under its National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (Platforms for Collaboration) program, CSIRO and ANU.

Visit the National Computational Infrastructure Facility website for further information.
